Skiers enjoy around 40 kilometers of runs at Merano 2000. Most are intermediate-level slopes. Backcountry skiers, cross-country skiers and snowshoe hikers have an extensive area at their disposal.

The 3-km-long sledding trail holds a lot of fun in store. The toboggan run starts from the summit station Piffing and leads along a 3 km long trail with several curves to the valley station, from where the gondola brings you back to the start.

The cross-country run at the ski resort of Merano 2000 is appropriate for both classic and skating techniques. Due to its low difficulty level, this is an ideal slope for beginners and children. The cross-country skiing slope is situated at the valley station of Falzeben and provides a 3 kilometers long circular route at an altitude of 1640 m.

Numerous trails with stunning views start from Falzeben and Piffing to reach the far end of the resort, an almost uncontaminated natural area. Kuhleiten (2363 m), Mittager (2422 m), Kreuzjöchl or Stoanerne Mandln are a few favoured goals for winter excursions with snowshoes, touring skis or on foot.

Ski-mountaineering tour

During the ski area's working hours and on every Thursday and Friday evening between 5.30 pm and 11 pm the ascent and the descent on the Kuhleiten route is permitted. Ski-slope grooming will start at 11 pm. Uphill hiking on ski slopes is strictly forbidden.
