How to reach South Tyrol

The way to South Tyrol. Come to holiday heaven.

By Car

From the Brennero motorway A22 exit Ora, Bolzano South, Bolzano North, Chiusa, Bressanone - Val Pusteria or Vipiteno. You can reach all holiday resorts by car.

Merano: Take the Brennero Highway (A22) to the Bolzano Soutj exit, then the Merano-Bolzano highway to Merano.

Ega valley: take the exit marked "Bozen Nord - Bolzano Nord" off the "Brennerautobahn - Autostrada del Brennero" motorway (A22) and follow the road into the Ega - Eggental valley. After 20-30 km you will reach Nova Levante, Carezza, Nova Ponente, Obereggen, Ega and Monte San Pietro. Take the same exit and follow the signs to "Blumau - Prato Isarco" and there take the road to Collepietra (15 km).

Renon: from Munich approximately 3.5 hours via the motorway (Rosenheim - Kufstein - Innsbruck - Brennero) until you come to the motorway exit Bolzano Nord. Take this exit, drive in the direction of Bolzano and toward the Renon mountain.

Pusteria valley: take the Brennero motorway A22, motorway exit Bressanone - Brixen / Val Pusteria - Pustertal, follow the Pustertal state road for your final destination, or else take the state road from Lienz - East Tirol (Austria).

By Train

All IC and EC trains stop in Bolzano and Bressanone, while regional trains also stop in Ora, Chiusa, Fortezza and Vipiteno. There are several daily, regular bus services from the train stations to tourist resorts.

Local-train Brennero - Vipiteno - Bressanone - Bolzano - Merano - Venosta Valley. Local-train Fortezza - San Candido (Pusteria Valley).

Pusteria valley: take the IC or EC train to Fortezza - Franzensfeste, change for Brunico - Bruneck to your final destination.

Renon: Bus stop near the train station, where buses go to Collalbo / Renon or to the start of ropeways to Renon. In 12 minutes you arrive to Soprabolzano / Renon.

By Bus

Local bus service is very convenient from cities like Bolzano, Merano, Bressanone and Brunico. Integrated Transport and Fare Service: timetables and fares. Travel in comfort using buses, cable cars and trains, including those run by Italian State Railways.

By Flight

The nearest airport is situated in Bolzano. Airports in the immediate vicinity are in Innsbruck (120 km from the Bolzano exit) and Verona Valerio Catullo (150 km from the Bolzano exit), situated directly on the Brennero motorway. There are good connections by train and bus. Other national and international airports are: Venezia Marco Polo, Treviso S. Angelo, Bergamo Orio al Serio, Milano Linate and Malpensa, Airport Munich.
