The Val Martello valley in South Tyrol extends right up to the Cevedale glacier (3,769 m) and speaking of altitudes.

The Val Martello valley is also Europe's highest located strawberry cultivation district.

With its 134,620 hectares, the Stelvio National Park stretches out amidst the central Alp ranges. Plenty of well equipped hiking trails start off from Val Martello, hike through the lovely mountain pastures and terraced out hangs to finally reach the park's snow covered glacier.
