Tirolo
The village Tirolo lies nestled in the foothills of mountain Mutspitz - Cima Muta. The view from Tirolo over the city of Merano and the entire Adige valley until Bolzano is beautiful.
Along the well known promenade that starts in the centre of Tirolo one can reach Tirolo castle, in which lies the South Tyrolean Museum of History and Culture.
With the cable car one can reach the mountain station Hochmuth - Cima Muta (1351 m) within a few minutes. Here is the Merano High Mountain Trail, a mountain path that encompasses the reserve of the Tessa mountains or one can start a hike to the Mutspitz - Cima Muta.
