Merano's Alta Via (the High Merano Trail) encompasses the reserve of the Tessa mountains and is one of the most beautiful paths of the Alps with its 80 km curling along an irregular landscape offering marvellous views of mountain peaks more than three thousand metres high and peaceful places for a rest.
With an amazing panoramic view, you can admire Val Venosta, the Merano basin, Val Passiria, the Alps of Sarentino, Stubaital and Ötztal. The funicular of Tirolo Hochmuth and the chairlift of Vellau, access to Gruppo Tessa Natural Park excursion area.
The Tessa Group is the largest reserve of South Tyrol.
